The website YourLocalHookup.com sells itself as the best place to meet swingers and singles. This sounds great if you are into that. But during our review, we found that this website runs a rip off. The operator employs a fake-chat scam operation, to take money from visitors.

On the landing page, visitors are greeted with multiple photos of people who are presumed members of the site. This is to give potential users a peek into what kind of people they will find if they join up. However, these people are not real. Automatic chatbots operate on this site. Further down the landing page, the scam continues. The website shows more users, but here they are called ‘top members.’ Additionally, testimonials are shown, to build trust with users. The site is owned by Karneolis LTD, from Nicosia, in Cyprus.

Initially, YourLocalHookup.com appears promising. It showcases attractive members and promotes free sign-ups, but with minimal details. However, this facade quickly unravels, revealing a scheme aimed at exploiting users. The enticing beginning quickly transforms into an unfortunate rip-off.

Contrary to the site’s assertion, that only a portion of members are ‘AI profiles,’ our investigation revealed that all members on the platform are, in fact, artificial. They are operated through programmed chatbots. These bots are controlled directly by Karneolis LTD, or by a third party. The overarching goal is to deceive users, by prompting them to unwittingly empty their pockets for an entirely fabricated experience.
