Report for WannaHookup.com review

WannaHookup.com is owned and operated by TRF Networks LTD, which based in the Seychelles, but registered in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Signing up on the platform is free, after which, users gain access to a selection of attractive profiles. The platform comes across as a solid choice for those who are seeking someone special. However, it is not.

The site is a fake chat scam and manages fictional profiles. This information is in small print at the bottom of the landing page. The Terms and Conditions also reinforce this acknowledgement. Discerning users notice something is amiss from the generic messages from these profiles. Furthermore, the terms of the subscription package show it is a rip-off. Members can only cancel their periodic payments by sending an email request two weeks before the renewal date.

Details on the WannaHookup.com review

Our review shows that this Seychelles-based site is a scam designed to rip off unsuspecting users who are looking for a love experience. Here is why.

Fantasy chats

At the bottom of the landing page is a disclaimer that the platform is for entertainment. It is suitable for those interested in fantasy chats. There is also an admission that most of the profiles are fictional.

The faces and information on these profiles do not belong to the person on the other end of the chat. The profiles are entirely made up, to engage users online. Moreover, the flirtatious chats are not actionable. They are just meant to lead you on. Therefore, users who sign up with the expectation of finding someone, and arranging a meeting, will be disappointed.

Excerpt from the GTC (as of 01/02/2024)

TRF Networks LTD clearly reserves the right to communicate with WannaHookup.com with regard to self-created profiles. These are fictional profiles where physical bonds are not available.

Subscription rip-off

In addition to regular “credit” purchases, the platform operates a subscription model where users receive credits periodically. The subscription renews automatically and without notice. Users looking to avoid these recurring charges must cancel their subscription. This can only be done by sending an email request two weeks before the renewal date.

The fact that users cannot cancel subscriptions by themselves leaves them at the mercy of the operators. The two-week deadline is also unfair and looks to take advantage of those who forget to cancel within this timeline.

Generic messages

You can skip all the profile questions and not upload a profile picture, and you will still receive messages. These messages are raunchy. They aim to lure unsuspecting users into purchasing credits or subscribing, to get unlimited chats. The texts from the profiles do not contain the names of the users they are addressed to. There are no greetings. Just direct, explicit requests, which are probably copied and pasted.

Limited time offers

WannaHookup.com offers users 500 extra credits, if they make a credit purchase within a day of signing up. This limited-time offer seeks to pressure new users into quickly committing their funds. TRF Networks LTD hopes to cash in on the excitement of naïve users who are eager to get a hookup from the platform.

The conclusion from our WannaHookup.com review

WannaHookup.com is not a reliable site for those who are seeking a memorable love experience. A review of the Terms and Conditions reveals that profiles on this site are fictitious. Therefore, users chat with imaginary people, who they will never meet. Discerning users can also tell that the generic messages they receive are not from genuine profiles. The subscription renews automatically, and it takes an email intervention, two weeks in advance, to have it cancelled.
