Report for SwingSite.net review

SwingSite.net advertises an interesting offer. But the information on the landing page is misleading and false. This portal is a scam. In the first place, the website admits to using so-called icebreaker messages. These are automated messages every user will receive. In principle, such automated messages do not have to be bad. But here they are used to luring new members into a trap. According to reviews, a new member will receive a lot of messages immediately after registration.

These messages encourage him to chat. If a user wants to reply, costs will arise for paid membership. Now we come to the second problem on this site. Premium membership will renew automatically if the user does not terminate it in time. Automatic renewal is not necessarily a bad thing in itself. But here, trial membership will be offered. This leads to a subscription rip-off. The experience of former users suggests the operator makes termination difficult. The operator of the site is Global Solutions BV, which is based in Venlo in the Netherlands.

Details on the SwingSite.net review

SwingSite.net seems a great choice. But this website is nothing but a cheeky rip-off. In the first place, this website uses icebreaker messages. The use of such messages is admitted on the landing page. On the one hand, it is good that this admission is provided on the landing page. Actually, this is the only positive aspect we can mention in our review. In principle, icebreaker messages do not have to be bad. But in this case they are used to scam users. An icebreaker message is an automated message. It can be a great help to start a chat.

However, users still have to send icebreakers manually if they are used genuinely. On this portal, they are sent automatically. Users are told nothing about this. Moreover, all users will receive such icebreaker messages directly after registration. The purpose of the icebreaker here is to encourage new members to chat. If a user wants to reply, costs will arise. Premium membership is needed. The goal of the icebreaker messages is to increase the income of the operator. Incidentally, we found quite a lot of negative reviews complaining about fake profiles.

Excerpt from the GTC (as of 24/03/2022)

At the time of registration for our services, we ask all of our users if they would like to to sign up for our Icebreaker News and Icebreaker Actions services (the “Icebreaker Services” or “Services”). Through these Services, we send Icebreaker messages, view profiles, send friend requests and send gifts (“Icebreaker Actions” or “Actions”) on behalf of and in the name of such consenting registered users. The Icebreaker Actions aim to introduce users to each other, facilitate and support conversation between users, encourage users to respond to each other’s content, introduce new users to our most active community members, and generally promote the use of our service.

The subscription is a trap

According to reviews on the internet, many profiles seem fake. Former users explain that it is impossible to meet a real person here. But in any case, the real rip-off is the subscription trap. Premium membership is quite expensive. And cheap trial membership is offered – this is the real trap. In the experience of former users, this extends to premium membership afterwards. There is no chance of avoiding this. The operator also makes terminating a normal subscription difficult. The operator of the platform is Global Solutions BV, which is based in Venlo in the Netherlands.

The conclusion from our SwingSite.net review

SwingSite.net is a scam with a subscription trap. Costs will arise for premium membership, which renews automatically. The operator of the portal makes termination difficult. Moreover, cheap trial membership will be offered. This sounds like a great deal, but it is the real trap. And automated messages are used to lure new members into the trap. Last but not least, we found hints of fake profiles but no legal proof that this happens.
