In the world of online dating, there are different sites for users to meet people with similar tastes. SweetMatches.com offers services that allow users to interact with people of all kinds. In an effort to reveal the scam that this site operates, we decided to experience the site for ourselves by creating an account. Antheia Services LTD, which is located in Lanarca, Cyprus created SweetMatches.com. Online reviews of other websites created by the same company always have negative comments and mention a scam.

Even in the Terms and Conditions, the operation of their services is described. Through fake profiles associated with the company, fake chat scams and subscription rip-offs are used. They offer trial periods of 3 days and subscriptions for 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months.

Getting access to SweetMatches.com does not require time or effort. A few pieces of information will give users access to the site’s minimal services. Users can use the search filters and send out 5 free messages. When we experienced the site for ourselves, we found problems with it. We found no more than 2 real profiles on the site while the rest were fake. The profiles were only located in the UK. Antheia Services LTD in Lanarca, Cyprus, tries to deceive and encourage users to purchase a subscription rip-off with a discount.

The purpose of these Staff Profiles is to ensure our Services are operating properly by allowing us to test the Services, features and functionalities, and to research our products and Services.

Fake profiles and fake chat services

In the Terms and Conditions, fake profiles and fake chat services through company employees are detailed. Users would only be conversing with fake profiles. Fake profiles have a PN icon next to them that helps users identify them. The PN icon stands for Partners Network. We only found two profiles that didn’t have this icon. Antheia Services LTD is the company responsible for running this fake chat service.

Subscriptions

This dating site greatly limits its services. To send unlimited messages and have access to photos from another profile, a subscription is required. The site offers a trial period of 3 days and 1 month. Also, complete subscriptions of 3 days and 1, 3, and 6 months are also offered. The minimum price for 3 days is 5.07 pounds. This subscription for the 3-day trial period is the most dangerous because users have difficulty canceling the subscriptions on time.

Cancellation

To request the cancellation of a subscription, users must do it 72 hours before the next renewal. If users have chosen the 3-day trial period, the time needed for canceling is not sufficient. At the end of the trial period, a new subscription will be automatically charged to users. Users are tricked into subscribing and are trapped. Cancellation can be made via profile settings, telephone, or email. Additionally, if the subscription was made by a third-party app such as the App Store, Google Play, and others, it must also be deactivated through that platform.

Our experience with SweetMatches.com was a negative one. As indicated, in the Terms of Use, the rip-off is evident. Fake profiles, fake chat services, and subscription rip-offs are mainly used here. No quality service or guarantees are provided. It is unpleasant to see how companies try to benefit from using misleading advertisements. These scam services are not new to us. We hope that our readers take caution and make use of the information we provide in our reviews to avoid scams.
