The online dating portal Shag2Night.com, advertises with a solid offer. Here, the registration is for free, plus it seems that the website can offer a huge members’ pool. Unfortunately, that is all wrong because the information on the landing page is misleading and irritating. The registration is for free, but not the use of the chat room. Moreover, the profiles on the landing page are a fake and show fictional people.
Fake operators manage the fake profiles to entice the user to a chat for which the user must pay. Of course, a user does not know about the fake chat. A normal member assumes that the profiles are real and show real people with a real interest. But in the end, a fake profile is fictional and it is not possible to realize a date in real-life.
The fake operators will get in touch with a new member but they will not identify as a fictional person. Plus, a fake profile is also not marked as such, to trick the user. So, the user gets tricked by false information on the landing page and later by the fake operators as well.
The fake chat is mentioned in the terms and conditions
“5.3. Skyloop Digital LTD. explicitly reserves the right to send calls on shag2night.com through self-created profiles. These are fictitious profiles with which no physical agreements are possible.”
The operator of the online dating website is Skyloop Digital Ltd., located in London, United Kingdom. We did some research on the internet and found some negative reviews about the website and the operator. It seems that this is not the only scam website operated by the company, but just one of many.
The tricks are always the same. Misleading information lures the user to the registration and fake operators will do the rest. Costs will originate for credits which are needed to send messages.
