The dating site SexModer.com advertises itself with free registration for users and promises users the prospect of meeting new strangers in the area. Furthermore, the site prides itself on protecting users’ data and seems to make security a high priority. Since we already knew of the company behind SexModer.com, we decided to take a closer look, and it turned out that SexModer.com is merely a fake chat scam. SexModer.com is run by Take Two Digital LTD, which operates a network of similar scam dating sites. The company’s headquarters are in Paphos, Cyprus.

It took some time to research what was wrong with SexModer.com. The operating company makes use of fake moderated profiles. The moderators controlling these profiles try their best to manipulate real users in the chatrooms. Chatting certainly isn’t free here, for users are required to purchase so-called ‘coins’, which is a virtual currency that is required to unlock the chat function. Some users have shared their negative experiences with SexModer.com in online reviews.

On the landing page, we were greeted by our ‘sex-meet coach expert’, which led us through the registration process. Before we signed up, we were able to read about all the available options provided by the site. Physical contact with individuals behind such system profiles is strictly prohibited.

According to the operator, physical contact with ‘fake chat’ operators is prohibited, so there isn’t any point in spending money on a dating site where it’s impossible for users to arrange real-life dates. Users should always read the Terms & Conditions to find out if the site uses fake profiles or not.
