On its landing page, SensualMeet.com advertises that it offers its visitors “the best technology” for hot dates. Yet, the design is not particularly engaging. To find out more, we first investigated who operates this site. As it turns out, it is Treff Dates SRL, which is a company based in Iasi, in Romania. And this is not good news. This company is known, from our previous reviews, for running subscription scams on various sites of the same kind.

On SensualMeet.com, using the instant messaging feature requires users to take out a paid membership. These subscriptions are automatically extended. Given the bad reputation of the operator, users run the risk of being trapped in a long and expensive subscription rip-off. In any case, all the profiles on SensualMeet.com are obviously fictitious. The members’ area is composed solely of fake profiles. These are created and operated by the site’s moderators. It is therefore illusory to hope of finding any date here.

At first sight, SensualMeet.com does not look good. The resolution of images and texts is poor. However, the landing page advertises with free registration, and claims and that the site hosts a large pool of members. Supposedly, finding a date is easy, thanks to a powerful matching algorithm. To find out for sure, we created a free test profile, and read the Terms and Conditions carefully, for possible evidence of a rip-off. And we quickly found some, but not in the terms of service themselves. They are hidden in the “User Guide” section. So, SensualMeet.com is clearly a scam.

We may, from time to time, create profiles which are created, maintained and managed by our employees (“Staff Profiles”). The purpose of these Staff Profiles is to enable us to ensure our Services are operating properly by testing the Services, features and functionalities, and to research our products and Services.

Fake profiles

Reading the legal documents, we learned that SensualMeet.com uses what they call “staff profiles.” These are fictitious profiles, which are managed by subcontractors, who interact with users. However, unless they have spotted this crucial information, users will not know that they are chatting with moderators. They are being paid to lure them into a trap.

The company behind this scam is Treff Dates SRL, which is a company based in Iasi, in Romania. This is not the first time we have tested their websites, and our experience has always turned out to be negative. They are not trustworthy and should be avoided.

Subscription scam

To get unlimited access to the chat feature, users must subscribe to one of the premium subscription packages. Unfortunately, these subscriptions are automatically renewed, unless they are cancelled in time. Of course, the automatic extension of a subscription is neither unusual nor bad, in itself. But the operator of SensualMeet.com is anything but trustworthy. So, it is quite possible that users will face considerable difficulties when cancelling their subscription. Based on our experience with the operator, this is a risk we would advise against taking.

According to our review, SensualMeet.com, run by Treff Dates SRL, from Romania, is not the reliable site it claims to be. We believe it may conceal a subscription scam. We have had negative experiences with this operator in the past. All profiles in the members’ area are fictitious, and it is not possible to meet them in real life. In addition, there is a good chance that the subscription, which is required to use the site, is a trap.
