At first glance, provided the care taken in the presentation of the landing page, RedLightDates.com seems like a reliable dating site. Unfortunately, this is far from the truth. When we tried to find out who the operator of the site was, we quickly discovered in the Terms and Conditions, that the site is run by the infamous Meet Us Media LTD. This company based in Nicosia, in Cyprus. We have tested several of their sites, and our experience has always been negative. Our present review shows that RedLightDates.com is no exception. It is a classic fake chat rip-off.

All profiles on this platform are fake, which fact the operator does not hide in its Terms and Conditions. They are managed by contracted moderators. They aim to seduce users into spending money on the paid chat. Not only is the experience not authentic, but it is also expensive.

To a visitor unfamiliar with other scams of the same ilk as RedLightDates.com, the website may seem like it provides a solid offer for finding a local fling. The landing page is well-designed, and the information scattered here and there, tends to suggest that the platform provides a satisfactory service in its field. To know what we were up against; we created a free account to thoroughly test the site.

In addition, we carefully read the Term and Conditions, and looked for feedback from former users. Unfortunately, we quickly found many reports which all pointed in the same direction. The profiles are fake, moderated, and do not lead to any real dates.

The Company operates system profiles (i.e. profiles connected to Accounts which have been created by the Company and which are either operated by contractors of the Company who impersonate the persons portrayed in such profiles or by a system designed to interact with users) and expressly reserves the right to chat with users through such system profiles in order to enhance the users’ entertainment experience. Physical contact with individuals behind such system profiles is strictly prohibited.

Fake profiles

What we call fake profiles, the operator prefers to refer to as “System Profiles” in the Terms and Conditions of RedLightDates.com. But they are essentially the same thing. Fake accounts are created by subcontractors, hired by the company. These feature fictitious profiles which will try to lure users into the paid services. Unless they have read the Terms and Conditions carefully, however, the latter will not know that the dice are loaded from the outset.

The “coins” system

Soon after they gain access to the member’s area, users will receive many message notifications. While they can read these alluring messages, they cannot reply, unless they buy bundles of “coins.” This is virtual currency, which is used to exchange instant messages in the chat. As each message costs 20 coins, so, any conversation on the chat is bound to become outrageously expensive. Most importantly, since the site only features fake profiles, there is no flirt, let alone any date to expect from this scam.

In past reviews, we have tested several of their websites and our experience turned out to be negative every single time. We highly recommend you stay away from this platform and all others run by Meet Us Media.

Our review shows that, far from being a reliable date site, RedLightDates.com, run by Meet Us Media LTD, from Cyprus, is just a blatant fake chat rip-off. We know the operator from previous reviews. They use service providers and chatbots. These send computer-generated messages to users, to lure them into buying credits for the fake chat. All members are fake, so are the messages they send. There is nothing genuine about RedLightDates.com, except the risk of losing money in vain.
