The dating website MyDirtyNeighbour.com describes itself as the UK’s best kept secret. At first glance, it seems to be an ideal place to meet like-minded adults, who are searching for a wild and dirty experience with naughty adventures.
For our review, we decided to investigate a little further. Unfortunately, our research revealed that the site is just a rip-off with a fake chat scam.
An extremely expensive experience
On the landing page, MyDirtyNeighbour.com advertises free registration, and promises unlimited access. However, we later discovered that the features are not free at all. To send chat messages to other members, users need so-called “credits”, a virtual currency. These “credits” are offered in bundles of different sizes. Depending on the chosen bundle, each chat message costs between 1.25 GBP and 1.65 GBP. At such rates, a proper chat conversation can quickly lead to tremendous costs.
To access the photo gallery and various other features, users additionally need a paid membership subscription. These subscriptions, however, renew automatically and may very well lead to a costly subscription trap.
Fake chat scam
In the terms and conditions, we read that MyDirtyNeighbour.com is operated only as an online “entertainment” and flirting service. From our experience, this means that the site’s members are fictional. The member profiles are created and controlled by professional fake chat operators, who work for the site’s operator. As a consequence, it is not possible to arrange real-life dates here.
As we see it, this site was designed to lure users into long chat conversations and make them spend as much money as possible on the virtual “credits”. In other words, it is a rip-off.
This is what we found in the terms and conditions
The Website is operated only as an online flirting service.
We provide online entertainment and flirting services through our Website enabling you to contact and engage in interaction with the Profiles.
Obviously, we cannot recommend anyone to sign up on MyDirtyNeighbour.com. The site is just a scam and chatting here is nothing but a waste of time and money.
The operator responsible for MyDirtyNeighbour.com is Hellerman Ltd, from London, England.
