MetalDating.com is introduced as the largest dating site for metalheads worldwide. Everyone can sign up for free. The search function allows us to find users from all over the world. Unfortunately, we only found a low number of active members. This makes it very hard to believe that MetalDating.com is the biggest online community for metalheads out there. However, this site is not a scam of any kind. It isn’t a very interesting dating site either.

If the free basic membership isn’t enough for you, you can go for one of the three paid memberships. These memberships come with certain benefits, such as a higher number of free messages. The basic membership is more than enough, considering that there aren’t that many people to talk with anyway. The company that runs this site isn’t mentioned anywhere. Based on our experience, this indicates a lack of professionality.

The black landing page matches with the theme of the dating site. MetalDating.com seemingly is the right place to connect with other metalheads. According to the dating service, there is no bigger dating platform than this one for meta fans. We don’t really believe that this is true. The landing page looked outdated and didn’t have much of an appeal. For this review, we decided to take a closer look at things. In the end we didn’t view this site as a rip-off. Nonetheless, we discovered that it does come with several flaws.

The membership options on MetalDating.com

So-called basic members pay nothing for their membership. They are only allowed to send 20 chat messages per day. The other options are the silver membership, the steel membership and the platinum membership. The only difference between those memberships is the duration and the price. The platinum membership lasts for a year and costs 3.75 USD per month. In comparison to many other dating sites, this one offers a premium membership for a fair price. The paid memberships can be cancelled at any time. It is safe to say that MetalDating.com is not a subscription rip-off.

Finding dates isn’t that easy after all

Other than the chat, there aren’t too many features to interact with the other members. There is a blog feature as well as a “shoutbox” to make public announcements. It was difficult for us to find someone to chat with. This site is not used by that many people. The first message we received was from a fake profile which asked us to visit a different site for naked photos. However, it doesn’t seem like there is an operator in charge of these profiles.

We would like to know what company is behind MetalDating.com, but were not provided with any information. The missing imprint is something that concerns us. Based on our experience, dating services of scam dating sites often prefer to remain unknown. We don’t believe that this site is a scam. The major problem here is the lack of active users. This is probably also the reason why it seems impossible to find any user reviews for this site.

MetalDating.com appeared to be a proper dating site. We like the idea of creating a platform for metalheads to find each other. We find it very hard to believe that MetalDating.com is the largest dating site for fans of metal music. The lack of users made it difficult to find someone to chat with. We do however, acknowledge that the premium memberships are cheap and easy to cancel. Although some fake profiles can be found here as well, this site doesn’t seem to be a fake chat scam either.
