MeetWild.com is apparently a dating platform. However, we don’t quite understand if they’re targeting people on the lookout for a serious relationship, or maybe just a casual fling. For our review, we tried to identify the operator behind this website, but the contact data hasn’t really been filled out. We only get a generic name and location, and a US number that is most likely fake. The portal offers very little relevant information on the landing page. We are only invited to meet singles and find our match. We also read a few soulless paragraphs, including some alleged user testimonials.

Nothing comes across as authentic, and in our experience, this is a tell-tale of a rip-off. So even before reading the Terms and Conditions, we understand that something is off. We ran a few tests with a simple profile, and confirmed that the website is just a fake chat. All the women are ridiculously beautiful, and we were bombarded with daring messages the minute we logged in. According to the company, they use these characters as a form of quality control. The truth is, they try to trick you into purchasing a dodgy subscription.

MeetWild.com is supposedly an online dating platform, but you will never find a girlfriend or a real hookup here. No company takes responsibility for this obvious scam. However, it looks similar to other online dating rip-offs we have seen countless times. Even the Terms and Conditions are identical word for word. In fact, the fine print hides a dangerous subscription trap.

Dodgy membership

There is very little you can do if you don’t have a premium membership. Despite receiving many messages, you won’t be able to read them from a free account. Further, the messages supposedly disappear one hour after you click on them, unless you sign up for a subscription. That’s the scam’s call to action. Either you purchase a membership, or you’ll miss out on the opportunity. To do what exactly? Not much. After all, there are no authentic users on the platform.

However, the operator tries to tempt you by offering a special trial subscription at a very low price. In only lasts for one day, and costs about a dollar. Hold your horses, though, because this is a trap. The company demands that you cancel your subscription at least 72 hours prior. Otherwise, it will automatically become a monthly membership that goes for about 40 dollars per month. Of course, renewal is inevitable if your membership only lasts for 24 hours.

All paid subscriptions automatically renew for the period and price that you signed up to. You may cancel the auto-renew feature to avoid recurring charges, but you must act at least 3 days (that is, 72 hours) prior to the renewal date.

Further, everything is very strange here. There is not an actual company name, address, or even country of origin. After a fair amount of similar reviews, we suspect that the US phone number we found in the Terms and Conditions is just a bunch of random digits. If you encounter any problems with the platform, or if you want to cancel your membership, you’ll have no way of communicating with anyone. We believe this may be deliberate, as this website is obviously a scam.

MeetWild.com is a sleazy online dating platform managed by an unknown operator. However, their generic interface is terribly familiar. They offer a fraudulent subscription to a fake chat, which gets automatically renewed. Since it is impossible to reach the people behind this website, you will keep paying indefinitely if you accidentally purchase a membership. In our experience, you will probably have to contact your bank and stop the payments yourself, if you want to get rid of these scammers.
