Report for MeetMyAge.com review

MeetMyAge.com is a phony dating platform created by Primula Capital LTD. This operator is based in Cyprus, just like many other questionable companies in this industry. However, we don’t have much experience with this particular operator. Therefore, we carried out our little online research to find former user reviews. Of course, we also created our own profile to evaluate the site.  That way we analyze it through first-hand experience and to see if this was a rip-off.

Unfortunately, we found many negative reviews about this website. There were some that were positive, but there was something odd about them. It was as if they had been written by someone who has connections to the operator. Thanks to our experience in reviewing fake dating sites, the truth was clear as day to us. The Terms of Service indicated the presence of fictitious profiles that try to seduce users so that they would sign up for a treacherous subscription.

Details on the MeetMyAge.com review

MeetMyAge.com is a scam by a Cyprus-based company named Primula Capital LTD. According to the landing site, the site offers dating services for mature singles. The design makes it come across as a professional service for those wanting a serious relationship. The introductory texts discuss various compatibility topics. We found several inaccuracies though. For example, contrary to what we were told, uploading a profile picture seemed unavoidable. The website mentions a questionnaire as well, but we couldn’t find it after we logged in. There were many inconsistencies with a lousy design. As a result, the platform is a subscription rip-off.

Revealing comments

Our first impression of the platform was that the interface was similar to many other dubious websites described in previous reviews. We didn’t receive phony messages right away, so we checked what former users had to say about their experience. Even though there were some positive reviews, they all referred to customer service.

Other reviews that were more believable mentioned the presence of a fake chat service. No matter where the person was based, there was always someone nearby. The women on the platform consistently avoided moving the conversation to any other free communication channel. They also said they didn’t feel ready to meet up in real life every single time. This is typical behaviour among fictitious accounts.

Excerpt from the GTC (as of 31/10/2023)

MeetMyAge provides you with assistance and guidance through its customer service representatives. We may create some technical member profiles on the Website for testing the Service (“Staff Profiles”). All Staff Profiles will be identifiable as such and, in the event that you opt to communicate or interact with a Staff Profile, you will be made aware of the nature of this Staff Profile.

Dodgy subscription

We analysed the Terms and Conditions, only to find out that our suspicions were more than justified. The operator mentions that they create their own profiles. This is done to guarantee that everything goes smoothly from a technical standpoint. However, we doubt this is the case. Other users mentioned that they signed up for the special promotion offering one week of service for 0.99 pence. Many of them claimed that money was taken from their account even though they had cancelled their subscription within the indicated period. We were hardly surprised as this is very common among phony operators.

The conclusion from our MeetMyAge.com review

MeetMyAge.com is a dodgy online dating platform, that is supposed to connect mature lovers. It is managed by Primula Capital LTD, a company from Limassol, Cyprus. The portal features a fake chat service where there are probably no genuine profiles at all. Furthermore, many users have complained about their phony subscription service. The company gets people hooked through a cheap special promotion. Then, they insist on charging the users repeatedly even after canceling the agreement within the designated period.

I signed up for the .99p trial, and then was billed £107. When I tried to cancel anything to do with this site they then tried to charge me another £307. Total scam! Oh and any responses I had on my trial were obviously false! On girl who supposedly lived in London had no idea where Birmingham was!!!
