Report for MatchSeeker.uk review

Red flags up! The landing page leaks out loudly that this website is a scam. Nothing fits what you should expect from a professional and safe dating service. Our first impression of the site was terrible, and it looked like the website was designed with 2 left hands. Our review will turn on one red light after another and will confirm our initial feeling this site is a fake chat rip-off. The service, Matchseeker.uk, is operated by ECHTY.COM; a suspicious company located in Breda, Netherlands.

MatchSeeker.uk is essentially a chat service that connects users with fictitious member profiles. The service claims in its footer that it primarily provides users with an adult entertainment experience. We strongly doubt that users will find a real woman’s profile here. We have seen multiple similar scams requiring users to buy credits before accessing the usual features. We will demonstrate below that this platform is untrustworthy and that you should avoid it at all costs.

Details on the MatchSeeker.uk review

Landing on MatchSeeker.uk homepage will first give users an unsettling feeling. The design looks to be behind the times, and the things they promise sound unrealistic and made-up. Ever since the website first launched around the end of 2022 by ECHTY.COM, located in Breda, Netherlands, it has had very few visitors. Therefore, it is far from all the other thousands of online profiles announced. The illustrations seem artificial at best, and it’s definitely not very reassuring what would happen next after the free registration.

The typical buy credit model

Our review shows the model scheme of MatchSeeker.uk, which is to make users buy credits for any action they would like to take on its platform… whether they want to chat with other profiles or only access their pictures: sending one message, gift, or photo costs 10 credits. Note that once credits have been obtained, they are never eligible for a refund. The premium offer includes 4 levels depending on how many credits users wish to purchase. The cheapest package is at 24.99 pounds for 100 credits, while the most expensive package is at 149.99 pounds for a thousand credits.

Matchys – fictitious member profiles

It is stated loud and clear! MatchSeeker.uk offers chats with both real member profiles (very few if non-existent) and fictitious member profiles, called Matchys. We understand the service is mainly an adult entertainment experience, pushing users to spend and buy as many credits as possible. The intention is well exposed; however, users need to read the small character lines in the footer to get the information.

Those so-called Matchys provide fictitious conversations, role play, or any kind of messages with the users. There is nothing real behind these profiles, and there’s no hope for real meetings. The terms ensure that users can identify the “fake chat” operators by the logo in the right-hand corner of the profile picture, but we couldn’t verify that assertion.

Excerpt from the GTC (as of 20/02/2024)

The user was informed about this when he first visited the website. The Matchys can have fictional conversations, role play or have other fictional communication with the user and other users of the website. Matchys are deployed with the aim of stimulating interactions within the website and having conversations with users. The user agrees that all content originating from such Matchys, information, texts and images are fictional and are only intended as entertainment.

Terrible user experience

Everything on this website seems to have been set up in a rush and, so, doesn’t look professional or trustworthy. The search results bring users unattractive profiles and numerous bugs that make the experience of the service even more annoying. It seems so obvious that this website is a scam and even if we try to give it some credit, it dramatically fails to deliver its promises. No hottie, no date, no fun.

The conclusion from our MatchSeeker.uk review

After starting off the registration easily, we then experienced some bugs when we tried to activate our account. The disappointment during our review never faded out, and our conclusion suffers no argument. MatchSeeker.uk is a rip-off based on a fake chat service. We would highly recommend you stay away from this website. You definitely have better options around. Moreover, during our investigation, we learned the platform was hosted by a provider that is well-known for hosting suspicious websites.
