Report for LoveMeDates.com review

LoveMeDates.com is an online dating website which gives a confusing first impression. On one hand, it looks like it may be a place for people looking for a more serious relationship. However, further down the page, the text encourages us to join for free, to find an affair. The platform is managed by Ruby Bell LTD. This company is based in Thorpe-Le-Soken, in the United Kingdom. This is not the first review we have written about this firm, and even though they are not a major player in the industry. Our experience indicates that it is wise to be cautious.

The landing page shows a picture of a young couple holding each other, next to the registration form. Below, we can see a few thumbnail pictures of alleged members. The platform supposedly has 1.3 million users, which we frankly find hard to believe. We also see the latest updates from currently active members. After evaluating the landing page, we created a simple profile and examined the Terms and Conditions. As it turns out, this dating portal contains a fake chat. This is created to lure you into signing up for a risky subscription.

Details on the LoveMeDates.com review

LoveMeDates.com is an online dating platform, where you can, apparently, meet people for a casual hookup. The creator of this portal is Ruby Bell LTD. This is a British company based in Thorpe-Le-Soken, in England. During our investigations for this review, we found that this website hosts a fake chat populated by fictitious profiles. So, you will never be able to find a real date here. It is all for virtual “entertainment”, so there is no point in wasting your money on this scam.

Sultry chat

Just as we logged in with our brand new, boring profile, we started receiving messages from other users. Part of our evaluation method consists of creating an account that should go unnoticed, among normal, human users. If there are chatbots, or the system is programmed to send automated messages to new users, we will receive a lot of undeserved attention. This is precisely what happened on LoveMeDates.com. Explicit messages started filling our inbox right away.

You may wonder how anyone would buy into this scam at all. Just keep in mind that most users do not pay attention to legal disclaimers. Furthermore, it is not that strange to believe all that attention is authentic. Especially, if you have taken the time to upload your best profile picture, and written something interesting about yourself. We know from experience, that if these rip-offs did not work, they would not be all over the internet.

Excerpt from the GTC (as of 22/01/2023)

13.1. From time to time, while You use Our Services, You may interact with automated online accounts and/or false profiles, which all its content has been generated by either: a) real persons that have been only contracted or employed by Us for the purposes set-forth below; or/and b) by automated programs or scripts, which dialogues none really exist and have been generated exclusively by programming (“Automated Profiles”).

15.1. All notices, requests, demands and other communications that You may send to Ruby Bell Limited under these Terms shall be in writing and shall be deemed to have been duly given when delivered personally, telecopied (with confirmation), mailed by registered or certified mail (return receipt requested) or delivered by an express courier (with confirmation).

Dangerous subscription

To access the premium features of this dating service, it is necessary to purchase a subscription. Often, fishy operators make it very complicated to cancel these memberships, or they ignore cancellation requests altogether. Here, the operator has strict requirements as to how to cancel your subscription. The notification must be in written form, either personally handed, faxed, by traditional snail mail, or through a courier, and always with a confirmation receipt. In other words, email is not accepted. So, giving up your membership requires quite a bit of logistics. This is a huge red flag you should not ignore.

The conclusion from our LoveMeDates.com review

LoveMeDates.com is a fake chat disguised as a dating website. The fictional characters here try to trick you into purchasing a dubious premium membership. The website is managed by Ruby Bell LTD. This company is based in Thorpe-Le-Soken, in the United Kingdom. We are not impressed by this subscription rip-off. All you get here is some virtual sexy entertainment. We suspect that cancelling your membership will be an ordeal, once you realize the service is useless.
