Report for JustShags.com review

For this written report, we reviewed the online dating platform known as JustShags.com. The landing page shows an image of a blonde-haired woman with the caption “Find like minded people in your area.” The dating platform is supposed to appeal to both genders, but we feel the concentration might be aimed more at male audiences. If you were to scroll down the landing page, you will see that more photos of women are being featured to promote the page, which implies that men would have a better experience here. Or so, that’s what it seems to have been at first.

The site started to look suspicious the moment we began the registration process. We could not complete the sign-up form, for it required us to allow the site to advertise our profile on other dating platforms that are owned by the company that owns JustShags.com. The company is Paidwings AG, and they are based in Cham, Switzerland, where they run scams and rip-offs on various dating sites that they own. They have operators of fictitious profiles pretending to show interest in real users by sending messages. If users do not subscribe to this site, they cannot reply to these messages.

Details on the JustShags.com review

While doing research on the site, we found old online reviews from former customers who experienced the site themselves, and they didn’t have anything good to say about the site. JustShags.com scams users by luring them into thinking that they have a significant number of admirers when in actuality, it’s just fictitious profiles deceiving them. These supposed ‘girls’ who are constantly contacting other male users are just trying to get them to purchase a subscription.

Furthermore, if users were to allow their profiles to be advertised by the site, then the site can generate messages on the user’s behalf and send them out without the user’s knowledge. On the site, JustShags.com admits that it does proactively use its users’ profiles to send messages and likes to other users without permission. This can be misleading for users who are not aware of this. Users may think these messages come from other genuine profiles and not realize the company just burrowed real profiles to send messages. This would end poorly for everyone involved, except for the company.

Just a subscription rip-off

The platform deceives naïve users by convincing them that the profiles on the site are real and users will experience a wonderful time after subscribing. Users who fall for this subscription rip-off will lose money and won’t physically meet anyone from this site. By the time users realize they’re being scammed, it’s too late for them to do anything about it. The company that owns JustShags.com makes it extremely difficult for users to get a full refund since there’s no option for cancelling subscriptions on the platform. The best users can do is send an official email to customer service.

Excerpt from the GTC (as of 02/08/2023)

2 The contract for a free membership is concluded for an indefinite period and can be terminated at any time without any time limits for termination.

3 The term of a paid membership (Premium) corresponds to the period shown in the package description or the period selected by the user when ordering the package (initial term). The initial term is a maximum of two years. If the membership is not terminated at the end of the initial term, the contract shall be extended for an indefinite period (contract extension). The period of notice, or, if a different period was stated when the paid access was purchased, for memberships with a term of no more than one month: 14 days, and for memberships with a term of more than one month: 30 days.

Attention period

We found online reviews from former users of the site during our research, which gave us an insight into what to expect if users commit to this platform. It was reported that subscribers chatted with women and exchanged photos with them until they received a notification that their subscription had ended. Once they realized they couldn’t claim a refund, they probably lost interest in the site or moved on to subscribe to a much better site with worthwhile results. The site is operated by Paidwings AG, based in Cham, Switzerland. They appear to operate subscription rip-offs on multiple dating platforms.

The conclusion from our JustShags.com review

Our review of JustShags.com has revealed that the operators of the platform are scammers. Having read the overwhelming number of complaints made by former users confirmed our suspicions of a fake chat service. The company of this platform employs chat operators to trick visitors to the site to subscribe and to use the site for as long as possible so that they miss the chance to get a full refund. Based on our findings, we strongly recommend that everyone should stay away from this platform.
