Report for GetOnce.com review

GetOnce.com invites users to take a chance and sign up for an account to meet and chat with new people instantly. The site guarantees to offer the easiest way to widen its user’s social circle. After signing up for free, users will be able to start searching for their next match and send them instant flirts. On the landing page, we learned that GetOnce.com is quite recent, but it is not a new dating website. It is actually a newer version of uDates.io, an unreliable platform that we already have written about in a past review.

Our previous experience with this portal was completely negative, and if you keep reading, you’ll find out that GetOnce.com isn’t any different. It is, in fact, just a fake chat scam where users end up spending money to chat with fictitious profiles. The company responsible for this rip-off is Xeanco LTD, which is based in Hong Kong.

Details on the GetOnce.com review

The design of the landing page of GetOnce.com is identical to the one of uDates.io, a dating website that we visited a few years ago. GetOnce.com is, in fact, the same portal as that one, but they just changed the name. uDates.io has such a horrible reputation that it probably couldn’t get any new customers to rip off.

The site’s operator is also different. Again, the old company had received so many negative reviews that it was impossible for them to keep working under that name. The new operator’s name is Xeanco LTD, from Hong Kong. We are quite sure that they are still the same scammers.

Strange messages and popular members

We decided to give GetOnce.com a chance. Perhaps the operator now has good intentions and is trying to start fresh with a legit and honest dating platform. We created a new profile by filling out the registration module. Signing up was quick and easy, and it didn’t cost us anything. After confirming our email address, we were able to start browsing the member’s area with our new account.

Just a few minutes later, we started receiving messages from hot-looking girls. This is not normal on a reliable platform, where usually a new member doesn’t get any attention whatsoever. We checked the Terms and Conditions, looking for signs of a possible fake chat scam. Contrary to what happened on uDates.io, GetOnce.com doesn’t mention anything about professional moderators. However, they do briefly mention ‘popular members.’

Excerpt from the GTC (as of 12/07/2023)

Popular Members are the members that are marked with the sign “Popular Member” and/or with a lightning icon. Popular members have to follow our Community Standards and might be entitled for revenue share of virtual gifts received.

How does it work?

When new members sign up, they receive promising messages from these popular users. Enticed by these messages, they will more than likely subscribe to a premium membership because, without one, they won’t be able to use the chat function. After paying the monthly fee, users will find out that the premium membership doesn’t allow them to talk to popular members. In order to talk to them, users will have to spend more money on expensive credits.

Popular members receive compensation from the website based on how many messages a paying user sends. Therefore, their true interest is not meeting up with users, but to entertain them as much as possible with meaningless conversations that will never lead to any physical encounter.

The conclusion from our GetOnce.com review

GetOnce.com might look like a reliable dating website at first, but upon further inspection, it turned out to be a fake chat scam. People are tricked into thinking that they can chat, flirt, and meet with genuine users who are interested in real dates. Unfortunately, none of that will ever happen. The only thing users can experience on GetOnce.com is fake conversations with the so-called ‘popular members’ who are paid by the company to make them spend more and more money.
