Flingr.pro looks like an ideal portal to meet the hottest singles. The operator encourages us to make the first move and find the spark in no time. They also advertise with free registration. According to the landing page, they have hundreds of users of all ages, who are racially and ethnically diverse. So, there is something for everyone here. They also claim that 60% of all users are female. In our experience, this is highly unlikely, and therefore the first red flag that we could identify.

The website is managed by a company from the Netherlands called ECHTY.COM, based in the city of Breda. Even though they may not be the biggest in this industry, we have seen them create other dating rip-offs before. For our review, we created an inconspicuous profile and carefully examined the Terms of Use. Our investigation revealed that this website is a fake chat, where finding a true date proved to be impossible.

Tempting “Chatflings”

If you pay close attention, you will realise that the operator does not really hide the fact that they create fake profiles. Their goal is to create the illusion of activity in the members’ area. On this website, the company defines those virtual temptresses as “Chatflings”. Apparently, there are also real profiles on the website, but they were nowhere to be found, as far as we could see. We are told that the “Chatflings” are marked with a logo on their profile picture. Even though we knew what we were looking for, we were unable to find it.

In contrast to real member profiles, no arrangements can be made with fictitious profiles and Chatflings. You can identify the Chatflings by the logo in the right hand corner of the profile picture in the profile.

Credits and membership

There is little to do on this platform unless you become a premium member. You become one by purchasing a “credit package.” Once you get your first bundle of credits, you become a VIP user, indefinitely. These credits are a virtual means of payment, which are only valid within the platform. However, to fully enjoy the advantages of your premium status, you must have credits in your account. It is not a recurring charge, but you will soon run out of credits. Sending messages, gifts and photos is not free, even if you are a VIP member for life.

This payment system is quite costly for the user. Also, you do not even know if the platform is worth it before you make your first purchase. If you decide this is a scam, and you want to get your money back, you may find some obstacles. In our experience, these fishy operators are often not very cooperative when it comes to reimbursements.
