Flingr.co.uk review

Flingr.co.uk could’ve been a good platform for finding casual sex or friends with benefits, but it’s just a rip-off with a fake chat service. Registration is completely free, so we created a temporary profile to review the site through first-hand experience. The members’ area seemed enticing, and the landing page claimed a huge variety of users were active on the site. Moreover, it looked like most of the users were female. Unfortunately, we know from personal experience that dating sites having many female users is extremely rare and probably not true. We immediately suspected that this site was a scam.

The platform was developed by a Dutch operator by the name of Medialix LTD. They are based in the city of Breda in the Netherlands. We have written about their extensive network of dating shams in the past. Flingr.co.uk is just another example of one of their dodgy dating websites.

Flingr.co.uk is an online dating website with a rip-off scheme and hidden fake chat service. It is managed by Medialix LTD, a Dutch company known for its dubious websites. Our experience with them has consistently been a great disappointment. By now we are used to their childish scams, where it is of course impossible to find a genuine date. There are only fantasy profiles here.

Flirtatious bait

The operator doesn’t really try to hide the fact that many of the members are fictitious. However, the Terms of Use state that there are also real ones. However, it is difficult to tell the difference between real profiles from fake ones, particularly for someone who has never experienced websites like this before. The fantasy profiles are active in engaging with anyone who signs up for the first time. In the Terms of Use, there is a little tagline that refers to fictitious member profiles as ‘Chatflings.’ However, unless users have read the terms, this detail will easily go unnoticed.

That way, a naive user would think they had hit the jackpot and possibly would want to start chatting right away. This is when the scam kicks in. Users need to pay in order to exchange messages, even with fictitious profiles.

The user should take that into account Medialix LTD offers chats with both real member profiles and fictitious member profiles (called Chatflings) on its website. The uses was informed about this when he first visited the website. The Chatflings can have fictional conversations, role play or have other fictional communication with the user and other users of the website.

In contrast to real member profiles, no arrangements can be made with fictitious profiles and Chatflings. You can identify the Chatflings by the logo in the right hand corner of the profile picture in the profile.

Paid messages

Unfortunately, new users will quickly find out they need to pay to have some fun on this website. The platform informs us it is necessary to become a VIP member to enjoy the premium features, which is basically users paying to use a fake chat service. “Credits” are needed to use the chat feature and they are sold in premium packages. If users buy premium packages, they automatically become premium users. This purchase comes with an auto-renewal feature though, so users will be charged again when the “Credits” run out or expire.

These credits can’t be used anywhere else on the internet. Once users realize the chat is useless, they’re stuck with the useless credits. This is a rip-off and since there is no way to access the full services of the site without buying a credit bundle, it is also clearly a scam.

Flingr.co.uk is a dating portal that claims to have a vast members pool. All the profile members looked very sultry and ready for a casual hook-up. However, our review proved that the platform isn’t designed to help its users find a match. It is simply a rip-off with a fake chat service. We would have to pay to communicate with fantasy profiles. The operator claims there are real users as well, but we are not so sure about that. The website was developed by Medialix LTD.
