Daterimo.com is another shameless scam developed by Tyche Technologies AG. This Swiss operator based in the city of Zug has created many similar rip-off websites in the past. We have plenty of experience in dealing with them, and they appear to be running a network of dodgy dating websites. There are only fake profiles in the members’ area. The platform is only created as a source of entertainment, so real-life meetings are completely out of the question.

Proof of a scam

The Terms of Use leave no room for interpretation. They clearly state that any participant who accepts the terms will be communicating with profiles that may not be real. The site’s services are only for providing entertainment, so nobody should expect a real date to come out of this. However, as straightforward as they are in the legal disclosure, they know perfectly well that almost nobody bothers to read it. This is how they manage to con people into signing up for a membership.

Some people may be interested in a virtual erotic experience, but it is not fair to trick people into buying a service when they’re most likely not fully aware of the fictitious profiles. The fictitious accounts send proactive messages to new users without revealing their true identity or objective. For this reason, we consider this dating site to be a scam.

A threat to the user’s privacy

Apart from the fake chat service, other problems with this website should be taken into account. Another concerning paragraph that we found in the Terms and Conditions explains that the company has the right to use its users’ pictures and information in any way they please. It mentions that whatever users share on the website, the operator may use it as promotional material on any of the other dating websites they have in their network.

After writing countless reviews and being experienced with this type of scheme, we know full well that the company will duplicate all the information from real users and use them for future scams. Photos of real users will be featured on some fake chat rip-off site as one of their fictitious profiles. Of course, they won’t be notified of this at all. The company may also send messages on behalf of the fake account they created with the user’s details and face on it. That is a pretty good reason to stay away from this portal.
