CasualFreeDates.com is an online dating site which offers a free registration and advertises with an extremely large number of members. While conducting research for this review, we were able to find out that CasualFreeDates.com is full of bots. These bots send automated messages to simulate real conversations. However, the operator does not want the real users to know about this.

It is not easy to find out who really is pulling the strings here. The operating company refers to itself as Web Consultancy, from the Seychelles. We are told that we only need to verify our age if we wish to use this site for free. This is easier said than done. By verifying your age, you also purchase a trial membership. If you do not cancel this trial membership in time, you end up in a subscription trap.

On the landing page, we see numerous photos of attractive female members. We can also see which of them are online and who has just shared an update. This site is clearly designed to attract men who are interested in sex dates with willing women. Our chances here are seemingly quite high. There is a member counter, indicating that almost two million people have joined. All of this is nothing but a show. This dating site is a rip-off, and full of bots.

You will encounter these bots sooner than you might think. Expect to receive numerous messages right away. This is exactly what our experience was like. The other members send us tempting messages and get pushy, as soon as we stop sending messages to them. It is impossible for us to chat with anyone on this site. You can only send two messages, then, the chat function is blocked.

There is something wrong with the verification

The operator then informs us that we need to verify our age, to receive full access to the chat, and all the other features. Apparently, we do not have to pay anything for the verification. For some reason, we are sent to another site, when we want to proceed with the verification. HookupHive.com is a scam site which has been mentioned in several negative user reviews. It also seems more than fishy to us, that you must enter your credit card details to verify your age.

The trial membership the operator does not want you to know about

Verifying your age might be free of charge, but you will still end up paying money for the verification. This is because you are required to purchase a trial membership to HookupHive.com if you wish to continue. This trial membership only runs for a day and must be cancelled while it lasts. Should the users miss this short cancellation period, the trial membership turns into a monthly premium subscription of 49.95 USD per month. This would be reason enough for us to label CasualFreeDates.com a scam. Furthermore, the operator only talks about this trial membership in the fine print.

Too many bots in the members’ area

Unfortunately, none of the profiles in the members’ area appear to be real. We suspect that most of them are bots or controlled by fake chat operators. Revealing the use of fake profiles in the Terms and Conditions is not much of a risk for the operator. In our experience, only a very small number of people actually read them.

What is Web Consultancy all about?

We are not completely sure which company is operating CasualFreeDates.com. The operator is being named Web Consultancy on the landing page, and the company is apparently situated on Mahé, in the Seychelles. There seems to be a connection between this site and HookupHive.com. HookupHive.com is operated by Liatris LTD, which is a Jamaican company, based in Walkerswood.

CasualFreeDates.com is not a free to use dating site. You can easily pay a lot of money, just to use the messaging function. There is a reason that the trial membership comes with a cancellation period of just one day. As a customer, you are supposed to miss the cancellation date, and get caught in a subscription trap. On top of that, countless bots are used to trick you into chatting. According to CasualFreeDates.com, Web Consultancy is the company behind this subscription rip-off.
