The company behind the rip-off hides behind the name, AsianMelodies, and does not provide any location. The only possible way to contact them is via email. People accuse the website of luring people into subscription traps which are hard to cancel, and some former members accuse the operator of managing moderated chats and fictitious profiles.

The first thing we learn during our research is that the website claims to have over a million monthly visitors from around the globe, but mainly from the US, the UK and Australia. Nice design and interface but still fishy.

The design of AsianMelodies.com is straightforward and easy to understand, the interface is very user-friendly, and people of all ages should be able to get along with it. The placement of the features like search functions, messages, live chats, mail histories and so on, are intuitive. The profile settings are located at the top of the page. The page has some banner ads, but they are not disturbing at all. The registration is indeed free, but if you want to actively be a part of the AsianMelodies.com community, you need to upgrade your account and purchase coins.

The basic membership is totally useless because only with the coins you can read and reply to messages. The number of messages you start to receive makes you wonder, because we have not even uploaded a personal photo yet. This reinforces the suspicion that the operator is using AsianMelodies, with an unknown location, to apply a moderated chat with fake profiles. Many reports on the net have the same doubts. We cannot prove it or find any proof in the terms and conditions. Nevertheless, the lousy aftertaste remains.
