Report for xAttract.com review

xAttract.com advertises with a free registration and many good-looking profile pictures on the landing page. The first impression might be convincing, but it turns out that this site is a scam with a fake chat.

This online dating platform does not offer real dates, but only entertainment which is way too overpriced. The user will pay a lot of money for a premium-membership that is offered in form of a subscription which will extend automatically. During our research we also found a few hints that this site is not just a cheeky fake chat, but also a subscription trap. The operator of this portal is oXygen Mind LTD from the UK.

Details on the xAttract.com review

xAttract.com looks like a great choice on the first view. The online dating portal has got a good overview and shows some profile pictures on the landing page. Our first impression is that this might be a good choice to find a casual date, for all singles in the UK. The profiles on the landing page do not appear like a cheap fake and are quite mixed. We see female and male members of different ages.

There is also a number on the landing page, which shows the current number of active members, which is more than one million. That means that this online dating portal has got a huge members’ pool filled with interesting people. The chance to find a date here must be very high then.

Faked chats

We did some research and checked the terms and conditions of the online dating site xAttract.com. We found out that the chance to find a date here is zero! The online dating website xAttract.com is a cheeky fake chat and does not offer real chances to find a match. Already on the landing page we read a short note about the members of this site.

There it is mentioned that we might get messages from virtual profiles or computer-generated bots. So, the number of active members is fake. We assume that the profiles on the landing page are false as well.

Here you have a chat with a bot

The members’ pool is filled with fake profiles that are either computer bots or operated by fake operators. Those fake operators have a certain duty, which is to entertain the user. That starts right after the registration. At this point, a new user has only a basic-membership and receives many messages from other profiles. As the user does not know about the fake chat, a customer assumes that they are all real people.

But they are not. The messages come from fake operators that entice the user to get a paid membership. The reason is, that the user needs a paid membership to read the messages and to answer to the fake operators.

Subscription trap

The subscription for the premium-membership seems to be a trap to us, as it will extend automatically. Usually, that does not have to be a scam but in this case, it looks like one. First of all, the website advertises with misleading information and second, it is a fake chat already. In the end, the user pays a lot of money for an expensive subscription. They chat with a fictional profile and might get caught in a subscription trap.

Excerpt from the GTC (as of 18/03/2024)

6. In order to enhance your amusement experience, to stimulate you and others to use our Services more extensively, and to generally sprinkle some sparkle and excitement into the Services of XATTRACT.COM, we may post fictitious profiles, generate or respond to communications by means of automated programs or scripts that simulate or attempt to simulate your intercommunication with another real human being.

Bad reputation

That is not just our impression of the online dating site, but the general thoughts of former users. We did some research on the internet and found a lot of negative reviews about this site. Altogether, the portal itself and the operator oXygen Mind LTD from the UK have got a terrible reputation on the internet. Many former users were not only unsatisfied, but they were really scammed for a lot of money. We also read some reviews that reported that even legally conducted terminations by former users, were not accepted and that the membership continued.

The conclusion from our xAttract.com review

The online dating site xAttract.com is a rip-off with a fake chat and seems to be a subscription trap as well. On this site fake operators and computer bots operate fake profiles. These are used to entice the user to pay for a subscription. That payment is senseless of course, as a date in real-life is impossible. Additionally, it might end up in an expensive trap.
