Report for UK-Mums.com review

The dating site UK-Mums.com claims to offer “manually reviewed members for real contacts”. Let us not be fooled here. The company that runs this website is Paidwings AG, who are based in Cham, in Switzerland. In our experience, they make the same empty promises on all their websites, which are all reiterations of the same scam. They are known to run a whole network of other sites featuring the same kinds of rip-off. The profiles are fictitious, and the only contacts users will have on the paid chat, will be with fake moderated profiles.

Our review reveals that UK-Mums.com is a cheeky subscription scam. To use the chat, users must take out a paid subscription. These expensive subscriptions are automatically extended, and extremely difficult to terminate. Furthermore, the negative comments we found online, were unanimous. In their feedback, cheated users make it quite clear that they never experienced a single date on this platform.

Details on the UK-Mums.com review

The landing page of UK-Mums.com displays a picture of a normal-looking woman, in her fifties. Up to this point, one might think that the site is probably reliable. However, our experience led us to recognize the site’s graphic design right away. While we were not very keen to sign up, we decided to create a free profile, to see if this site was indeed a scam. For the purposes of this review, we read the Terms and Conditions carefully. A word of advice is to always do the same.

Excerpt from the GTC (as of 19/09/2022)

The period of notice, or, if a different period was stated when the paid access was purchased, for memberships with a term of no more than one month: 14 days, and for memberships with a term of more than one month: 30 days. […] The termination of the fee-based contractual relationship must be in text form in order to be effective.

To ensure successful processing of the termination, the declaration should contain the full name, the service used, the e-mail address used for registration and the user name. The cancellation can be sent via e-mail to [email protected]. Alternatively, we also offer the termination of the fee-based contract by fax +41 (0) 41 5087019 or by post.

Subscription scam

The Terms and Conditions state that cancellation of the subscription is subject to a 14-day notice period, and a letter of termination, among other conditions. For an online dating site, this could not be simpler, could it? And who uses a fax nowadays? In fact, our review concurs with the experience of deceived users, whose comments we read online.

Any cancellation, whether on time or not, will be wilfully ignored by Paidwings AG, a company domiciled in Cham, in Switzerland. As a result, if they take out the premium membership, users are trapped in a long and expensive subscription, against their will.

Fake profiles

If you thought you could get away with chatting with horny women without falling for the scam, well, you are wrong. All profiles are fake. They are managed by contractors. There is certainly no guarantee that they are as hot as the photo they display. More importantly, their only aim is to get users to take out a subscription. And if they fall for it, they will never hear from them again. That is the kind of experience one can expect on such rip-off sites.

The operator was careful enough not to mention the use of fake profiles or moderators in their Terms and Conditions, but our experience and the many negative reviews we have found online, allow us to say it straight out. This site is nothing more than a vile scam.

The conclusion from our UK-Mums.com review

As we show in our review, UK-Mums.com is a subscription scam. The use of fake profiles moderated by subcontractors, only aims to make users subscribe to a paid membership. This will be extremely difficult to cancel afterwards. Meanwhile, users cannot arrange any real date on this platform, let alone experience any genuine flirting experience. Moreover, we easily found numerous negative feedback reviews from deceived users. Therefore, we strongly recommend against signing-up on this shady website.

If you would like to learn more about the dating rip-off, check out our other reviews. You can also easily check which other dating websites belong to Paidwings AG.

    Welcome to the boat.
Just like the rest of you, I fell for this and have now received two demands letters from Paidwings AG.
HOW THE HELL DID THEY GET MY NAME AND ADDRESS?
I Paid the first thinking I had made a mistake (mea culpa) and cancelled the contract but now they are still pushing for payment for the next 5 months. Have any of you actually had follow up debt collection agencies try to get money?
They are low life scammers taking advantage of men who for whatever reason are wanting company. They need to be exposed

      Hi Paul,
I also got an email from them which landed in my spam folder, they are demanding the payment, obviously i found this website to be fake on day 2 and tried to cancel my subscription back in October 2023, but as obvious they are scammers and they did not cancel the subscription and kept on billing me with monthly payments and till date the total outstanding due is around £ 370.
Did you get the debt collectors threat over email or did they actually knocked your door?
Whom can we contact in UK to seek assistance and report these scammers??

      Thanks,
      John

Do not use this site it is a scam. Please see all the comments. They use sexy-looking girls ( possibly not real people and false pictures) to lure men in and even if you have already paid a membership these very good-looking/sexy girls will contact you and try to form an online relationship then early on want you to subscribe to other very expensive dating sites where they will promise you can talk to them on webcams etc. But it will be more money and more money.

Also, there are several masseurs who will flatter you and get you to make contact for a business date but you pay upfront like a booking fee to their company possibly run from abroad, and then when that’s cleared you are asked for more money to pay for the company ID, etc and it goes and you send more money. Do NOT.

I’ve been told I owe £85 and there getting creditors to come to my house etc and if I don’t pay they will take me to court,I paid for a months subscription but when I paid my bank sent me an email saying it come up as fraud so I asked them to cancel the fee but I’m not sure it was but I cancelled my credit card so no more payments would come out but I did spend 3 days on the website and even seen photos of the likes of Helen Mirren and other actors as well as photos of girls I had seen on porn websites so after 3 days I unsubscribed and left the website and haven’t been near it since which was July 2022 and now I’m getting email of there solicitors and I even offered to pay by check if they sent me there address to pay it of and my account closed but all they want is a credit card payment so they can well and truly fuck right of,I’ve offered to pay my way and there not interested

Don’t pay them anything its all one big scam

  5. Bob 20th January 2023 at 1:40 pm - Reply

My advice is to avoid at all costs! Its a scam and messages are fake and no real person

Inform the police and get a ref number, call your bank and get a new card and contest the transaction for fraud! Email uk-mums asking for your money back and end all subscription
And any prior agreement! I send 20 emails lol! They won’t respond only saying your account is closed,
Keep all emails safe for everdace!

Next I did delete my number and the email address of witch I sign up with, don’t pay! Don’t contact just, what they do is illegal and very misleading! You are well within your rights in 14 days to cancel all agreements, you may not get your first payment back though,

Forgive yourself and don’t contact them if they contact you bin everything , there is no contact apart from there bs

Hope this helps my brother stay calm
Within moments of joining this appalling website I knew it was 100% scan subrescription don’t be too hard on yourself, avoid them at all costs!!!

Created a free profile, just browsing. Didn’t subscribe or sign up for premium membership. Have asked for proof of payment & date as this doesn’t match up on my debit card. They are not interested, now collection agency involved asking for 240 back payments plus 85 euro sign on fee. I’ve also asked them the same, no reply. Have reported them to uk fraud who are investigating. Complete scammers!!!

I fell for it too, I feel so stupid. I immediately blocked my card but my bank told me the £179 had already been taken and they couldn’t reverse it. I blocked the card anyway and getting a new one, I also emailed to cancel the account but based on the other reviews here, I’m not expecting a reply any time soon and I’m sure they’ll try to charge me again when the 6 months come to an end. We’ll see what happens.

I’ve fell for this too. Called my bank and the fraud team. But threatening me with debt collectors. Only thing I’m worried about if they put a bad mark on my credit which is excellent by the way. Will this affect my credit score. I’m due to get a mortgage this year and worried about that.

UKmums was recommended on another website that claimed that they had tested the site and found that it was a really good site for hook ups.
Clearly this site is operated by the same site that owns UKmums.

Hi Guys …. I am one of you … a few comments.
    1. The company is registered in Switzerland. As for me they will have to use a UK Court which sets limits on costs etc. You must be served by a Court in YOUR OWN COUNTRY. This is NO BIG DEAL. Worst scenario is paying fee plus a bit …. really unlikely actually. I mean are they going to instruct Solicitors in multiple Countries in multiple places and multiple Courts for $200 each pop ??? No way.
    2. They are clearly scammers who prey on vulnerable men. Delete your email A/C and delete your Bank A/C. Stand tall and say ‘Fuck You’ like I did. Do not be afraid. I am with all of you and you are with me.
    3. Give the shits as much bad Publicity as you can. Debt Collectors have NO LEGAL POWERS . Only Courts do. Courts will take a dim view of this … if it ever gets there which it will not.

Hi I filled in the online form but my card was declined by my bank, card is now cancelled, so I didn’t actually pay them or obviously complete the form. However they still activated the account for some reason. Now they say I owe £177 if I don’t pay it will go to their debt collectors or solicitors. I have however managed to get an email off them saying my account is now closed. But I still owe the money.

That was very helpful Peter I’m getting so much grief from these people threatening solicitors letters debt collection threats
How did end with you as I see your case is from last year ?

  13. Rob 8th September 2022 at 1:34 pm - Reply

I created a new email address solely for using this site. I read a review that suggests that UK-mums is an excellent site for hooking up, so I joined for 3 months, £104.00.
I messaged every profile that claimed to be within an hour’s drive from me. I got lots of replies asking for email address or WhatsApp number and thought that I’d soon be “filling my boot.”.
Some of the contacts were promising, until the day before a date, they would ask me to put credit card details into a website in order to get n ID card to prove that I have no criminal record.
Others asked for gifts, as their birthday was approaching. Others wanted me to go to other websites and to have webcam chats, others asked me to send money for petrol, so they could come to meet me.

All completely bogus, of course, and my email inbox is full every day with all sorts of sex website messages and scam emails about parcels to be collected.

I’m going through the same scam. Thanks for the heads up. I’ve tried so many times to log in, can’t do it. That means I can’t delete the account. Which I already have done. Still getting threats from bailiffs. Bollocks to them. Been threatened by bailiffs but not answering any emails.

      • Anonymous 14th September 2023 at 2:14 pm - Reply

Hi Geoff, are you still getting threatening emails from their solicitors and bailiffs, have they actually knocked on your door? i’ve been duped by the same scam and getting all the same crap, even though i offered to pay the 30 day notice period!

      • Rob 12th November 2023 at 12:28 pm - Reply

how did it end Geoff as I’m getting same thing threats from solicitors and debt collection any help appreciated?

  16. Mit 3rd June 2022 at 1:19 pm - Reply

I’m 61, I didn’t even upload a photo and within a few days I had messages from 29 year olds, which I couldn’t read unless I paid a sum of cash.
    Yeah, right!
Do I look like a complete nincampoop?
I mean, if you’re going to try and operate a scam, have the intelligence to be a bit less obvious.

Just a word of advice for this and many other similar sites that are suspicious/potentially fake but you feel compelled to try after a few drinks and lonely evenings!
Tip 1 – Before signing up, create a separate GMail Email address separate from your main Email as your inbox will be swamped with hundreds of emails within a few days.
Tip 2 – I would strongly recommend using something like Revolut credit card which you can top up with £40 or so as needed. This card allows you to create a single use temporary card for online shopping which destroys itself after the first use so cant accumulate more charges. This has saved me on many occasions.

I tried to cancel the membership, wrote them emails, deleted the account on the website…I’ve just got an email from a collection agency, threatening that they have “applied to the district court with jurisdiction for you to obtain the instrument permitting enforcement against you” – whatever that means. Has that happened to you as well? I’ve got no idea what to do…

Unfortunately I fell for this and a few other similar sites one drunken, lonely Saturday night. Tired of pleasuring myself after repeated knock backs from women in pubs, I thought “f##k it” and took the plunge. Been getting spam x 100+ a day and nearly got nailed through an affiliate website and this one for a full years sub that I didn’t want. Shit 100% shit. You’ll spend £50 on credits in an hour every evening for a week and your dick will still be dry. Stay away!
