Report for SugarDaters.com review

SugarDaters.com is a sugar dating platform that caters to an international audience. The website has local versions for 24 different countries. It is managed by an operator from Fredensborg in Denmark, called DaTech ApS. At first glance, it looked like this could be a legit website. The Terms and Conditions didn’t reveal anything alarming either. However, the user experience indicated that this site is likely a scam. To find out more about this website, we created our own test profile.

The landing site features an image of what looks like a young wealthy man leaning on a sports car, and an elegant slim lady in the background. The texts encouraged us to tailor the experience to whatever we were looking for, be it a friendship, a passionate story, or a partner for life. Sugar dating is usually characterized by a transactional relationship that may be romantic and/or sexual between a young woman and a well-to-do man. There is mutual consent, and the partners agree on the terms of the relationship.

Details on the SugarDaters.com review

SugarDaters.com is a sugar dating platform created by a Danish operator called DaTech ApS. The company is based in Nivå, Fredensborg. After becoming the biggest sugar dating website in Denmark, it went international in 2013. Therefore, it has a long history, which should be a big plus. It looks glossy and professional, so the first impression it gave off was excellent. However, there is more to it than meets the eye. We had to dig a little deeper for our review and, we soon started to wonder whether this was a scam or not.

Questionable accounts

Firstly, we need to mention that the Terms of Use don’t contain any conditions that seem concerning. However, we made sure to create an empty profile without a photo or any information. We wanted to evaluate the site without attracting any attention. Nevertheless, we still did. A couple of minutes after signing in, we were greeted by a lady, but we couldn’t even see her profile picture with our free account. This undeserved attention is usually a red flag. It often comes from scammers or fake profiles created by the company itself.

Therefore, we started wondering whether this site was a fake chat service or not. We looked for other user’s testimonies online. We found some reviews that complained about fake profiles. Sure, they may have been created by external users but what was even more concerning was that the operator didn’t do anything about it when the problem was brought to their attention. At this point, we started believing this could be a well-executed rip-off.

Suspicious subscription

The cost of the membership for the sugar daddies is quite reasonable, which is a little strange, considering that they must be wealthy enough to afford a relationship with a sugar baby. A two-week membership is the most expensive one and costs 10 pounds per week. A 12-week commitment goes for just six pounds per week. This should be peanuts for someone who wants to get into sugar dating. At least, there aren’t any fishy cancellation terms or automatic renewals.

The conclusion from our SugarDaters.com review

Since 2013, SugarDaters.com has been a sugar dating platform that aims to cater to an international audience. It was developed by DaTech ApS, a company registered in Fredensborg, Denmark. The website is well-designed and looked legit at first. However, we suspected that it may be a fake chat rip-off. The fantasy ladies may or may not have been created by the company themselves. Some users complained that the company didn’t act accordingly when they were exploited for having fake accounts.
