The online dating portal Juicy-Dates.com advertises as the perfect place to find a date. The landing page greets us with a beautiful lady sitting lasciviously on her kitchen counter. To find out what our chances were of meeting such hot women on this site, we decided to sign up and read the Terms of Service carefully. In a nutshell, this gorgeous lady will remain an illusion, as will the possibility of meeting anyone else for that matter.
Our evaluation reveals that the site uses a crude fake chat scam. To be honest, this did not really come as a surprise, as we have had some experience with this operator in the past. This is a common scam on all of this company's platforms. See for yourself.
We found the following note in the terms and conditions
The Company operates system profiles (i.e. profiles connected to Accounts which have been created by the Company and which are either operated by contractors of the Company who impersonate the persons portrayed in such profiles or by a system designed to interact with users) and expressly reserves the right to chat with users through such system profiles in order to enhance the users’ entertainment experience. Physical contact with individuals behind such system profiles is strictly prohibited.
So, in their terms of service (TOS), Juicy-Dates.com clearly acknowledges the use of moderators to encourage conversation through fictive profiles. However, most users find this to be deceptive, as there is no possibility of dating these individuals. As we see it, fake profiles are merely created to trick users. They believe that they can truly meet their soulmate, while being lured into spending money in the fake chat. This experience is a clear rip-off.
The operator behind this unscrupulous cheeky scam is Meet Us Media Ltd, from Nicosia, in Cyprus. This company has a terrible reputation on the web, as we found many negative reviews from former users. They complain that this website is nothing more than a blatant rip-off with a fake chat.
The costly “coins” system
“Coins” are needed to interact with other members. And that is where the scam is, of course. These coins can be bought in packs. The price of a single coin does not seem too high, but keep in mind that it will cost you 20 of them for each message! You may be rich after all, and decide that this beautiful woman is well worth the money. The bad news is that spending a lot will not increase your chances of getting a date, as the system only shows you fake profiles.
