HookupGay.co.uk is a dating platform designed for gay people looking for adult fun and exciting experiences. The landing page invites readers to join the community by filling out a quick and easy registration form. Everyone is welcome regardless of their preferences, ages and locations.

Our review shows it really does take just a couple of minutes to connect with other users. Unfortunately, this will never lead to a real life date. The reason is that the chat is just a scam. Fictitious profiles are created by fake chat operators to lure members into buying expensive credits. BD Technologies AG is the company responsible for this rip-off. It is  based in Zug, Switzerland, and is infamous for using fake profiles on all its dating portals.

Despite a slightly outdated design, the homepage of HookupGay.co.uk is still quite promising. In the background we see pictures of supposedly new members who give the impression of being genuine people looking for real dates. All visitors to the page are encouraged to sign up, with the promise that the members’ area is populated with thousands of open-minded guys looking for casual experiences. The only requirement is that members have to be at least 18 years of age.

Other than this, there are no limitations. Whether you are looking for younger or older people, HookupGay.co.uk claims to be the perfect dating platform for you. Registration is free of charge but only entitles you to create a profile, upload a picture and send winks to other members. Everything else has to be paid for separately by using credits.

What are these?

Credits are a virtual currency used by this platform. Sending one message costs one credit, which equals £1.25. Prices decrease slightly if you buy bigger credit packs. All payments are one-off, which means HookupGay.co.uk is at least not a subscription rip-off. Unused credits expire after 90 days and are not refundable under any circumstances.

Is it worth it?

A new user is pushed to buy more and more credits by the promising messages he receives right after registration. But in reality, these messages are fake. The person writing from the other side of the screen is not that handsome man you see in the profile picture. He is instead a fake chat operator employed by the company for the sole purpose of prolonging conversations as far as possible, so you spend a lot of money without getting anything in return. Real life meetings are in fact impossible on HookupGay.co.uk.

No surprises

As soon as we saw the name of the operator of HookupGay.co.uk, we knew it must be a scam. BD Technologies AG is a Swiss company from Zug that always uses fake chat to subject its customers to a rip-off.

HookupGay.co.uk might look like a good choice at first, but our review proves it is just another fraud. Those who decide to sign up hoping to get in touch with interesting people to meet in real life will inevitably be disappointed. The website contains fake profiles controlled by professional moderators who don’t correspond to the characters they’re impersonating. There are accordingly no prospects of arranging physical meetings via this platform.
