Report for FunChatt.com review

FunChatt.com appears to be a solid online dating platform, at first. But, we did some research on the internet. This way, we found plenty of negative reviews. Former users reported poor experiences and shared them on the web. Further to this information, the website appears to be a fake chat scam.

The profiles in the members´ pool seem to be fake and controlled by fake operators. Their purpose is to increase the revenue of the operator. Now, we checked the legal information and found proof of moderation. Plus, we found out that costs will occur for credits which will top-up automatically. That is similar to a subscription rip-off. The operator of the site is Orania LTD which is based in Gibraltar.

Details on the FunChatt.com review

The online dating portal FunChatt.com advertises with a promising offer. Also, the first impression of the website is good. The landing page has got a modern design and a good overview. On the homepage, we see some profile pictures and some general information. With regard to those details, the website is a fun place to be to chat with other members Also, it seems that you can find matches easily. So, we assume that the website has got a lot of members.

If you feel impressed by the offer on the site, you may feel this is your chance to have a fun time. The operator of the site is Orania LTD which is based in Gibraltar.

This website is an entertainment service

The first impression of FunChatt.com might appear to be good. But, we did some research and found enough reasons to skip this website. First of all, former users point out that it is nothing but a cheeky rip-off. Further to their impressions, it all starts with misleading information on the landing page. Now, the registration is free, but the use of the site.is not. Actually, the rates for using this website are pretty high. Additionally, you can chat with others, but you will never be able to meet them. This website is an entertainment service, but not a dating site.

Entertainment is a common expression for moderation. Or, in this case, it is a fake chat as the user does not know about it. In the legal information, we found further details about the use of moderated fake profiles. The profiles on the site are fake, all in all. Plus, fake operators control those fake profiles to entice new members to a chat. So, the operator of the site claims that the purpose of moderation is entertainment. However, the actual goal is to increase the income of the operator. While chatting, they will not identify as a fictional person.

Excerpt from the GTC (as of 08/03/2024)

You understand, acknowledge, and agree that no physical meeting will ever take place and that the aforesaid exchange of communications is for the purpose of your entertainment and amusement, to encourage broader participation and use of Funchatt and/or to monitor user activities.

It is a fake chat

With regard to reviews, they will start right after the registration. At this point, a new member will receive many messages from other profiles. As the note about the fake chat is well-hidden in the terms and conditions, users do not know about it. So, the interest in chatting with other members is high. Also, the fake profiles are not marked as such. Now, the cheeky thing about the site is that the user will pay a lot of money to chat with others. In the end, the paying customer assumes that all profiles show actual people.

We did some research and read some reviews of former users. They explain that it can take a little while to spot the fake chat scam. Up until this point, a lot of money will have already been spent by the member. Former users explain that high costs will occur for credits. Plus, the balance of credits will be topped up automatically. Now, that seems to be similar to a subscription rip-off, according to the information on the internet.

The conclusion from our FunChatt.com review

FunChatt.com is a rip-off with a fake chat. The profiles on the website are fake and show fictional people. It is not possible to meet any real people. All profiles of the site are fake and controlled by fake operators. Those fake operators will animate new members to a chat for which high costs will occur. Credits are needed to send messages that will be topped up automatically.

This looks like a good place to vent. This site tells you i the terms you never meet users. okay but that is not what operators are saying and i have all the commutations. they clearly along with i love you said they defiantly wanted to meet early on. pretty sure they not supposed to say that because it contradicts there own terms. That is called FRAUD. and unless they get to it before me screenshotting all the sock accounts i started were i got them in a pickle. i talked to this one same person a lot upfront. then i get there email after causing a ruckus with customer service about my contact info being censored. they claim in the dialogue that they do not do that. wrong! they claim problem with system. so i contact same profile of the one i talked a lot too and gave them a ton of clues and hints as to who i am and they did not know me because they knew nothing of about anything we talked about previously. any lawyers out there smell some money? people who engage others this way in the name of love are the scum of the earth and at best disgusting human beings. between 10 different sock accounts the communication with customer service it looks like fraud because it is. How bout a lawyer out there we need each other on this one lets take them to the cleaners. i really don’t care about the money except as compensation for the heart ache and mental trauma they caused me with there lies for profit scam. i had thoughts of suicide or hurting others. they messed me up. i was almost arrested and looked like fool in front of my peers. toying with people this way is irresponsible and dangerous to the public. contact me here if you can help do the rite thing and take these bottom dwellers to the bank. [email protected] p.s. I go to court and testify because i am tired of being misled and ripped off in the search for love. If you made it this far thanks for reading

The site is a very expensive rip-off and you can end up spending thousands of dollars and never meet a woman. The trouble is by using the site you agreed to their terms and conditions voluntarily so it would be difficult to prove they are doing anything crooked.
The main problem is you chat to women but it’s only on the website and costs a fortune and the women will never let you contact them by normal email or messaging app and they give what are in my opinion completely bogus reasons for this. One woman told me extortionists had blackmailed her so she wasn’t allowed to use email any more, another that she had previously given her email to a guy and he had lied to her – as if that couldn’t also happen on the funchatt website.
People would be better to avoid this or they will spend a lot of money to feel disappointed.

Funchatt block your last name, they don’t allow you to supply information to your contact.
It’s very difficult to make contact to the person you want to give to.
It’s sad, not fun at all

Thanks Daniel, that was my experience too. The women I chatted with refused, for in my opinion unbelievable reasons such as theft of their personal information, to let me contact them outside of the website so I ended up paying a thousand dollars over two days with no real reason to believe I would ever get to meet one of them. As you say, it;s a saddening experience and I would recommend people sign up with a proper legitimate dating service instead.

After many many messages and a lot of cost, I had two users contact me directly. One of the users explained a lot to me about the site and added that her profile was fake and that her profile photos etc would be used again by other users. I want to take this matter up with my card company. Anyone have any advice.

Guys it just makes you feel any better I spent all of my savings and more $130,000 plus US Dollars spent on this website I fell in love Head over heels opened up my heart my life planned my life out with this one girl named Maria and it turns out that it’s a scam I was never fooled I always had the doubts I saw all the red flags in fact I spoke to several women at the same time as an experiment however this one particular operator who managed the profile for Maria cuz that’s what they do these operators manage different profiles did an extremely good job I’m not an easily fooled person but I fell in love I fell in love like I’ve never felt love in my life and now I’m devastated and crushed my life is destroyed I spent all of my savings my heart is completely devastated and you know what guys I’ve actually made communication with one of the operators who felt so bad for me that has reached out to me I would definitely not mention her name however she has reached out to me and has given me a great deal of information and has told me and provided with me with Instagram accounts from these women that are supposedly on this website as being authentic actually being someone else on Instagram so I’m hoping that I will be able to go after them with this proof that the former operator that I’m communicating with now off of the website very sweet girl she couldn’t deal with her conscience anymore she she knew who I was she said I was very well known all the operators wanted to talk to me they all would fight to talk to me because they knew that make money off of me but they also late with me as dangerous because they were aware that I was aware of a lot of things so I was popular and dangerous these websites use an agency there’s a guy I even know who the guy is I know where he works I have all this information from this young lady she’s a disgruntled employee who was fired the women are treated like crap these these backstage operators are treated like crap they don’t get paid any money to have to work long hours often 12 14 hours straight and often they feel very guilty for what they have to do but unfortunately they live in Colombia where the financial situation is so bad there that people were forced to do things like this and I believe it she’s very sincere very sweet I have the guys address I have his profile all I need and I won’t even go that far I’m not even going to say anymore it’s sick as me to see him partying and his yacht and his boat with his boys off of our money there’s even been guys that have taken their lives she’s told me they know she knew of at least one that will call in and they were they knew who he was and one day he found out he couldn’t deal with the pain he sent them a message of the last message was she was standing by a cliff or something and then that was it they found out he took his life they never heard from him again and yet this disgusting person who owns this agency is living it up off of people’s hurting money he goes out to Medellin Colombia he recruits these professional women there’s all types of women in Medellin he offers them a deal to use their profile the girls agree in exchange they receive all the gifts so in other words the flowers and all the gifts you buy the original person of that profile receives it however you’re not speaking to that person never are you speaking to the person on the profile those are women that have sold their profiles to the agency they’re committing fraud because they also have their little check mark system that they said this person is authenticized meaning that they they’ve gone through a process of authenticating

I had the same experience without getting so much background information. What is quickly apparent is a profile is online 24/7 which simply isn’t something one person could do, and you find glaring discrepancies with important facts forgotten from 20 minutes earlier and abrupt changes of vocabulary and attitude which point to it being a different person each time. Additionally I found the same profile on other sites with just a name changed whereas each site says it verified the identity of the person using the profile.
Like Mark I ignored some warning signs pointing to the site being a scam because I fell in love with a particular woman who was operating the profile at a certain time of day. I was using the site for three months and spent about $15,000 before sanity stepped in and said enough is enough. It was clear the woman simply couldn’t exchange contact information or agree to meet so I stopped using the site.
I would hope something can be done. The problem is the way the site operates in the event of complaint it asks for information about your case, and it seems to me likely they would simply remove a profile. It’s not a problem for them because they can create an unlimited number of them. As far as the verified profile being verified with a different name on another site is concerned I requested they refund my money on the basis of that and the factual discrepancies occurring during chats pointing to the profiles being not verified but entirely fake. I think the difficulty for them isn’t the fake profiles as such, because they state it in their terms and conditions, but the fact there isn’t one person operating the profile. I’m waiting to hear back from them. I don’t want to complain about a particular profile because I don’t know if that could cause a problem for individual women working for the site (for example they could be sacked for not being consistent with information).
Having found other sites with the same profiles I would not be surprised if the whole thing is crooked with links to organised crime and money laundering, and given that possibility I wouldn’t want to cause a problem for any of the women.
It would be interesting to know what other guys think about doing something about the site to stop it defrauding people.
