The online dating website ForbiddenFlirts.com offers free registration and says that flirting here is free. In fact, this is not the case, as customers must pay for flirting or anything else they want to do on this platform. Apart from this fake publicity, the website is a scam, using fake profiles and fake chat operators.

We have experience with this company, and we have published other reviews about websites from the same operator. The company running ForbiddenFlirts.com is none other than Midsummer Online BV, from the Netherlands. Our previous experience with them was negative. All the websites from Midsummer Online BV that we have reviewed turned out to be rip-offs.

ForbiddenFlirts.com has an attractive landing page. They offer to flirt for free, and registration is complimentary. But that is basically all you can do here without paying. Although charging for these kinds of services is not a scam, it is irritating that the information about costs is not clear from the beginning.

Together with some photos of attractive women and the button to register, in the footer of the page, we also found some information that raised the alarm. This information refers to the use of fictive profiles that are there for “entertainment” purposes only. Basically, what they are saying is, that they use fake chat operators who will try to get customers to engage in fake chats. This is definitely a rip-off, as the costs for these fake chats are very high. We find the information about these fictive profiles in the term and conditions.

Fake chat scam

Although it is positive that the company mentions the use of fake chat operators on the landing page and in the term and conditions, we still consider this site to be a scam. Customers are in most cases not aware of this. Furthermore, we navigated the website for a long time and all profiles we found are fictitious. We also received several messages from these fake chat operators. They tried to get us to establish a conversation, but to do so, it is necessary to pay over £1.50 per message.

Data protection

Even worse than the problem with the fake chat operators and the fake chats, is the leaking of data on this website. In all the reviews we did about this operator we encountered the same issue. When a user agrees to the terms and conditions, they also accept that all information in their profile can be utilized by Midsummer Online BV in any way they want. This includes commercial purposes. But nobody wants to see their private information exposed to the world.

We consider this to be a scam and abuse. This reason alone should be enough for anyone to stay away from ForbiddenFlirts.com or any other online dating platform from Midsummer Online BV.
