DolSA.site is a dating platform where South African singles are supposed to be able to find love. In fact, DolSA is short for “Dating Online South Africa.” This website is totally free to use, and there are no ads whatsoever. Therefore, we wondered how the operator of the site was making money. In the end, we could not find who was responsible for creating DolSA.site. We can’t really say it is a scam since users are not charged any fees when using the site, but there is something fishy about it.

The Terms of Use don’t reveal any concerning text either but not having the name of the operator is still a major red flag. Other than that, our experience on the platform was quite dull. There were many profiles, but most of them seemed to be inactive. A minority of users had photos, but most of them did not provide little to no details in their profiles.

DolSA.site was not a very promising dating site when we reviewed it. Even though we can’t call it a rip-off because it was free, we were still on the fence about it. It seemed very unlikely to find a real date on here. The fact that the operator remains anonymous was quite concerning. Considering our extensive experience in this industry, that is not a good sign. No matter who they are, we wouldn’t provide any personal details or photos to a company that isn’t transparent.

That made us worried that the platform may be using its users’ private data or profile pictures for commercial purposes. However, we have no evidence of that either, so we cannot call it a scam with a fake chat service.

Suspicious profiles

The landing page was bland and unappealing with basic graphics. After gaining access to the site after registering, we weren’t very convinced by what we saw. The profiles in the members’ area that had photos looked realistic enough, but they had little to no information. It was hard to tell if the site used a fake chat service. Regardless, it seemed very unlikely that any user could find a real-life on DolSA.site. There’s very little activity, and the profiles are either fake or might have been abandoned. It may not be a scam, but it’s certainly a waste of time.
